The ULTRA brand in relation to live events was founded in 1997 in Miami by CEO, Chairman & Executive Producer, Russell Faibisch, who began by producing electronic music events which led to the inaugural Ultra Music Festival® in 1999 on the sands of Miami Beach.
The internationally-renowned festival, which has taken place every March since its inception, celebrated its 21st anniversary on March 29-31, 2019 by bringing more than 170,000 music enthusiasts to the sold-out waterfront event in Miami. Ultra Music Festival®, which was voted the world’s #1 music festival by DJ Mag multiple times, will make its triumphant return to its long-time home at Bayfront Park for its 22nd annual edition on March 20-22, 2019.

In 2018, the ULTRA WORLDWIDE™ brand announced its acquisition of Miami’s Winter Music Conference, through one of its affiliates, fully aligning the city’s bustling community of music lovers and industry insiders for ULTRA’s Miami Music Week which is anchored by Ultra Music Festival.
This year was one of ULTRA WORLDWIDE’s™ most successful ones to date; between ULTRA Worldwide’s renowned house and techno brand RESISTANCE concluding its third annual Ibiza summer residency at the world’s biggest nightclub, Privilege, and welcoming more than 50,000 fans over the nine-week residency following winning The DJ Awards’ best Ibiza Night title in 2018. This fall, RESISTANCE toured 8 Latin American countries over two weekends for its third yearly standalone fall run since 2017, cementing RESISTANCE’s expansion to six continents, and September brought the sixth edition of ULTRA Japan which marked the first Japanese festival to be attended by more than 500,000 fans (since its inception in 2014).
ULTRA WORLDWIDE™ continues to push the boundaries to new frontiers across the globe with further international growth in 2020, slated to make its Middle East debut with ULTRA Abu Dhabi on March 5-6, 2020.
